If you have previously completed a criminal justice related foundation level degree (or equivalent), this course provides a progression route on to a Bachelors degree in criminal justice.
Our Bachelors degree in criminal justice progression route is designed to equip you with a broad based and thorough understanding of the rapidly changing environment and operations of the current criminal justice system.
On successful completion of your degree course, you will receive a degree validated by the University of Essex and be invited to attend a graduation ceremony at the University of Essex, Colchester Campus.
Studying online offers you the freedom to study when and where it suits you – you can learn at home, during your lunch hour or anywhere else where you have internet access.
You can determine the speed of your studies. A unique feature of an online degree is that you can dictate how long it takes until you attain a degree. You can choose how many modules to take at one time and how quickly you move from one module to the next.
We have flexible entry requirements that look at both your academic and work-based experience. In order to start a degree you will need to have GCSE grade C or above, or its equivalent, in English and Mathematics. If English is not your first language, IELTS (Academic) 6.0 or equivalent is required.
In addition to the above you must have, as a minimum, one of the following:
- one full A Level
- an Advanced GNVQ, NVQ or other similar vocational qualification
- an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship that includes vocational qualifications similar to the above
If you do not meet the minimum academic standards, relevant work experience can also be taken into consideration.
