Overview

This course is approved by NCFE and has been designed for those who want to assess learners within a classroom environment only. If you have always wanted to teach and assess learners in schools or colleges, this is the best course for you. Most employers will also require you to be competent in teaching, so if you do not have a teaching qualification already, have a look at our PTTLS course as you will need that as well.

Description

Unit 1 – Understanding the principles and practice of assessment (3 credits)
This is the foundation of the course as it will equip you with all the knowledge and understanding you need to become a very good Assessor. You will use these principles and practices throughout your career as an Assessor.

Unit 3 – Assessing vocationally related achievement (6 credits)
This is the final unit of this course where you will learn how to practically assess learners within a classroom environment following approved standards and criteria and using valid methods of assessment designed for classroom assessment.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
