Who is this course for?
If you want a successful career in Accountancy and Finance, gaining the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is the first step; giving you the practical hands-on skills required for a Trainee Financial Accounts Assistant role.
Requirements
The Foundation Certificate in Accounting is an entry level qualification, however we advise that you have formal academic qualifications in mathematics and English, or formal work experience.
The following entry requirements apply:
- You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement
- You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
- You must be able to attend all exams at an AAT Approved centre. Students outside the UK will incur an additional cost for international postage of textbooks

This course gives you a solid base of foundational knowledge and skills to build an accounting career on. The qualification will give you “part-qualified” status and make you eligible for a wide variety of entry-level accounting roles.
