Job Alert Problems

I keep getting sent jobs that aren’t what I’m looking for

If the job notifications you are receiving are not matching your current requirements, try changing the job alerts that you have set up. You can do this through the 'My reed.co.uk' tab at the top of the page Once here, select 'Email Job Alerts' from the 'Jobs & Applications' panel. You can then edit, remove or add a new job alert.

I've set up a Job Alert, but am not receiving any jobs

The first thing to double check is that you have entered your email address correctly. You can do this on the 'Your Sign In and Contact Settings' page, found in the 'Update Details' section of the 'My reed.co.uk' page of your account.

If you have entered the correct email address, try going to the ‘J'Email Job Alerts' from the 'Jobs & Applications' panel, and widening your search criteria. For example, try searching on a wider salary range or geographical area.

If you are using an email service such as Yahoo®, Hotmail® or Gmail®, you may experience problems receiving emails. These clients may move emails from reed.co.uk to the junk folder and then delete them. To prevent this, add no-reply@contact.reed.co.uk to your contacts list. Then your emails should be sent directly to your inbox as normal.

I don’t want to receive any Job Alerts anymore

Enter your saved search page either by following the 'Email Job Alerts' link on your signed in hompage or in the 'Jobs & Applications' section of the 'My reed.co.uk' page of your account. Click the 'Remove' button by the saved search you wish to delete.

If you no longer want to have any correspondence from reed.co.uk, for example if you have found a job, you can Hibernate your account. This will hide your profile from potential recruiters and stop any emails being sent to you from reed.co.uk. To make your profile available again, and begin receiving emails from reed.co.uk, simply sign in to your reed.co.uk account within 12 months.
