How do I get there?

In order to access your profile, you will need to be signed in. From here, you can edit your profile by:

1. Clicking the link provided under your recommended jobs
2. Clicking the link next to your profile box (above your CV, on the right hand side of the page)
3. Clicking on your name (next to saved jobs) and selecting profile from the dropdown menu
4. By clicking on the ‘profile’ link on the sub navigation bar

Once you've accessed your profile, you will be given a series of prompts which will help you complete it, and your progress is tracked as you go.

Here is a step-by-step guide of how to make your profile 100% complete...

What are your skills?

Your skills are what help set you apart from other candidates, and will vary depending on your experience and the industry you work in.

To help get you started, on the right hand side of the page you will be provided with a number of suggestions which are relevant to your industry. If you think any of them are appropriate, simply click to add them to your profile.

If none of the suggestions seem applicable, simply input your skills in the box provided, and type in your own. A series of auto-suggested options will be given as you type, but feel free to add any of your own.

In order to add the most value to your profile, we recommend avoiding overly generic terms. By focusing on skills which are industry specific, recruiters will be able to match your suitability to their vacancy more accordingly

For Example: If you’re looking for a job in Sales; Account Management and Business Development will be a lot more desirable to potential recruiters compared with Communication Skills.

Finally, your skills can be edited or removed at any time. Just click the pencil icon to edit, or the cross icon to remove the skill.

Work History

Starting with your most recent first, list all of your previous positions. Include dates of employment and any major accomplishments achieved during this time.

Try and keep duties and accomplishments quite concise at this stage. You can always go into more detail on your CV. Once completed, use the ‘Add another job’ function to continue listing places of employment or click save if you have finished.

As with skills, all other areas of your profile can be edited or deleted at any time.

Once you have listed all of your qualifications, they will be saved on your profile, allowing recruiters to match you to their job more effectively.

Personal Statement

Another key aspect of your new profile is the personal statement section. This is your opportunity to sell yourself to prospective employers, and not only demonstrate your major achievements, but also your mindset.

Try and keep it to one paragraph in length, and as up-to-date as possible. This will enable recruiters to bring their most relevant jobs to you, when they’re relevant to you.

Upload an image

Personalise your profile by adding a picture of yourself. This will make it much more memorable, enabling hiring managers to put a face to the name.

To upload your photo, click the ‘Choose a photo’ option. Use a clear picture of yourself which is as recent as possible. Once uploaded, you will be able to crop the image to your head and shoulders, or choose another image if you’re not happy with the one you have picked.

All images must be at least 200px by 200px.
