Average Chemist salary in the UK

I’m recruiting on behalf of Scotland’s leading waste management company who are looking for two chemists to join their facility in Lab Chemist positions. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful applicant will participate in the analysis of inward, in-process, and outward materials, help to develop new or improved solutions, and share responsibility for general maintenance and calibration of Laboratory equipment and reagents. As the successful applicant you’ll ideally be degree educated (or equivalent) in a chemistry-based subject, you’ll be competent within analytical chemistry and will have good overall time management and organisational skills. This would well suit a hardworking graduate looking for their first role in industry. The role will only be working weekdays (although weekend work as overtime will be available but always optional) but will require flexibility as will be working a 12/1pm/2pm start with a 9pm/10pm/11pm finish. The company are offering a £25,000/annum starting salary with a 15% shift allowance, this comes with a host of company benefits.
