What does Reed do? The scope of Reed’s businesses offers talented individuals a wealth of career opportunities. There are 5 separate Reed companies, each focusing on a different market:
Reed Specialist Recruitment is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions, IT and HR consulting.
Assisting jobseekers and employers since 1960, Reed’s global expertise spans Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Reed is independent, has 400 offices worldwide, employs 4,000 people and delivers world-class solutions across more than 30 specialisms.
Reed International provides Reed with global reach for its recruitment, IT and HR consulting business. With offices in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, Reed is expanding its operations internationally to meet the needs of both local and global businesses.
Reed Learning provides learning and training opportunities, with services which currently include: postgraduate study programmes, business training and personal development courses. Since it was founded in 1995, Reed Learning has grown into one of the foremost learning organisations in the UK through its continued and passionate commitment to delivering results that make real difference across its three core areas of business; learning, learning recruitment and learning managed services.
Reed Learning deliver over 50,000 days training a year across the country and our exam pass rates are some of the best in the world.
Reed in Partnership Since 1998, Reed in Partnership has specialised in programmes designed to break down the barriers to employment. We have a proven ability to create flexible solutions to local issues, creating a multitude of route ways to employment and social inclusion.
We have a strong employer network, drawing on the Reed family of businesses' nearly 50 years of recruitment experience. Since our launch in 1998, we have helped over 80,000 people into employment and worked with more than 10,000 employers, ranging from local businesses to large national corporations.
Reed Charities Eighteen percent of Reed is owned by the Reed Foundation, and revenue from annual dividends is given to charities – either as seed capital or one-off donations. Reed Foundation has provided the seed funding for a number of charities, namely Academy of Enterprise, Ethiopiaid (in the UK, Sweden, Ireland and, more recently, Australia), Womankind and Women at Risk. Other donations have included a one million Rand grant to the Nelson Mandela Foundation in 2003 to support Education in South Africa, and two million pounds to the West London Academy in Ealing. Donations have also been made to the Royal Opera House and a number of humanitarian and human interest appeals.
