Course Overview
This course is ideal if you're already an IT professional and are looking to develop or enhance your knowledge of computer networking support and administration. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA Network+ candidates have at least nine months of experience in network support or administration or academic training, along with a CompTIA A+ certification. The course will allow you to demonstrate greater technical abilities in media and topologies, protocols and standards and computer networking implementation. It will also help you expand your abilities in new technologies such as wireless networking and gigabit Ethernet. You should be able to complete the entire course within approximately 120 hours of study. To gain this qualification you will need to submit 22 assignments and pass an exam taken at an external assessment centre.
