This presents an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished professional to make a significant impact within a purpose-driven entity. In this role, you will have the autonomy to drive pivotal changes and enhancements across the finance function while actively supporting the advancement of the local community.

In this Head of Finance role, you will:

• Take full responsibility for the production of management accounts, providing valuable financial information to a variety of internal stakeholders
• Hold full oversight of all finance functions across the organisation and ensure the smooth operation of all things finance
• Produce statutory accounts and be a key liaison and answer all finance related queries
• Help make financial decisions that will drive their new strategy forwards, fuelling the organisation’s efforts to support vulnerable individuals
• Have line management responsibility over a team of four, promoting their professional growth and ensuring they adhere to deadlines
• Make process and system improvements where necessary and influence the financial architecture of the organisation

The successful Head of Finance will:

• Be a fully-, or part-qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA). However, candidates who are qualified by experience are strongly encouraged to apply
• Have demonstrable experience managing a finance function and be familiar with management and financial accounting
• Ideally, have experience managing or supervising a small team
• Have experience in, or be actively looking to join the charitable organisation
• Be tech savvy, and have experience using systems experience such as Xero, Sage or similar
• Have strong communication skills and be able to translate complex financial statements and budgetary requirements with stakeholder of varying levels of seniority
