Credit Controller

- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience + Uncapped bonus (£1500 extra per month)
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller / Debt Collector for an ongoing temporary position based in Chatham. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in credit control and debt collection, who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity. Due to the location of our client, the candidate will need to have their own transport.
Day-to-day of the role:- Managing and overseeing the credit control and debt collection processes.
- Proactively contacting clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Resolving queries and disputes related to invoicing and payments.
- Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to the credit control process.
- Preparing reports on the status of credit and collections.
- Working closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Proven experience in a credit control or debt collection role.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the location of the client.
