Our client, an excellent independent school in North Yorkshire, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Chemistry Teacher to join their school from September 2024. The school would be able to provide support with finding suitable accommodation.

The school is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18 years old, they have around 475 students. Those in the sixth form leave with excellent results year on year and a very high percentage of leavers depart for their first choice university. The school provides an unrivalled educational experience against a stunning backdrop of beaches and wide open spaces.

The successful Chemistry Teacher will be teaching engaged and aspirational pupils with outstanding levels of competence and study skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good honours degree in Chemistry or related subject
• Ability to teach Chemistry to KS4 and A Level/Oxbridge standard/International Baccalaureate
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

You would be expected to teach to the highest possible professional standards and support and uphold the ethos, aims and objectives of the school. Salary will be determined on the school's own generous scale and is dependent on experience and suitablity.
